Pre-K Admissions

The Department of Education has centralized pre-K admissions and places children through a citywide pre-K placement process. To apply to BNS for pre-K, families must participate in the DOE placement process. The pre-K application will be available on line in March 2012. Check the DOE website for more information about the pre-K placement process.

BNS will have pre-K directories in the main office. They're also available online. The directories list available programs and include a paper application and pre-addressed envelope.

Pre-K families are encouraged to attend a BNS open house and fill out a BNS application as well as applying through the DOE. We maintain a pre-K wait list for the current school year only.

If your child was born in 2008, please apply through the DOE in March 2012, and fill out a BNS information sheet available at our open houses and in the main office.
