Fill out your School Lunch Forms

Every family with a child in a NYC public school has to fill out a School Lunch Form, also called an Application for Free and Reduced Price Meals. This form helps determine how much federal funding our school receives. It could also enable your child to get free or reduced price lunch.

This form does not ask if your child eats school lunch or home lunch. This form does ask what your family income is and how many people live in your household. You will need to complete this form every year.

Please fill out the form that comes home in back pack mail, or go the the OFNS website to fill out a form electronically and find out about school meals.

BNS must have its forms in to the DOE by Oct. 15. Please help us get 100% of the forms returned.

Apply for School Meals Online

Visit www.nyc.gov/accessnyc to apply for School Meals online. Families only need to submit one application online for all their children, even if their children attend different types of schools (public, private or charter).

Complete the application online in any of the seven languages on ACCESS NYC - English, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, Korean, Haitian Creole or Arabic.

The paper application is still available, and families who prefer that method, or would like to apply in a language not available on ACCESS NYC (for example Bengali, French, Greek, Hebrew, Italian, Hindi, Polish or Urdu) can obtain the application from their child's school.

Billing and Payment for School Lunch

Families should receive a bill every two weeks from BNS for school lunch. Please return payment in an envelope labeled with your child's name and 'School Lunch', or pay online at mylunchmoney.com.

Parents should be aware that this year, BNS will be held accountable for parents' unpaid lunch bills. Money will be taken out of our next year's budget if bills are not paid.
