Brooklyn New School students master concepts as active thinkers and doers. Math, science, social studies, art and music are integrated in hands-on exploration. Children study the city, the environment, history and culture. They learn to ask questions, use tools to measure, make estimates and draw conclusions about what they see and feel. Children learn their ties to other people, to the past and to the future. They become stronger readers and writers by using reading and writing as tools to carry out their investigations.

BNS/BCS presents Rufus and Bethany in concert on June 17 at 6 pm. Join us for dinner and a family concert to benefit the BNS/BCS arts program. Dinner $5, concert $20 per family. Tickets available at the door.

The 21st Annual Spring Fling was a huge success. Thanks to those intrepid parents and staff who helped out for hours and days before, worked the event and stayed on to clean up. Thanks to those who sent in & solicited donations, and thanks to those who bid.

Our next big building-wide fundraiser will be the Apple Fest in the beginning of October.
