2010 Annual Spring Fling
610 Henry Street. Brooklyn, NY 11231
Friday, May 14th
7:00 pm - 11:00 pm

The Spring Fling is the largest Fundraising event of the year with the goal of supporting programs at both Brooklyn New School and Brooklyn School for Collaborative Studies.  We welcome parents, staff, alum and the community to join us and support our schools!

We ask families to support this fun event by actively participating in the auction and party planning, donating generously and soliciting donations from local businesses.

This year's auction will have two parts: The Silent Auction, which occurs the night of the Spring Fling, and an
Online Auction, opening a month in advance, giving people time to bid on items.

Auction items include:
  • Getaway for Two – 5 Days and 4 Nights in Ecuador
  • Women’s haircut at Arena Hair Salon (Manhattan)
  • 1 MedSpa $150 Gift Certificate
  • Ms. J's Gymnastics (3 class package)
This year we are taking it Back to the 80's!  Some event highlights include:
  • Live DJ, spinning all your favorites from the decade!
  • Open bar
  • Best 80s outfit competition
  • 80's dance completion
  • Photo booth
  • Entree samplings from local restaurants
About the Online Auction
Many items will be available for bidding at Bidding for Good's online auction website.  The online bidding will begin on Friday, April 30th and will end on Wednesday, May 12th.  The online auction will be open to the public, so be sure to tell your friends and family about it.

About the Silent Auction
On the night of the big event, a second auction will occur. This second, live silent auction will include all the items from the online auction, with the minimum bids starting at the final maximum bid from the online portion, as well as any new items that were not available during the online auction, particularly those limited to the BNS/BCS community (e.g., parties, outings, student art, etc.). Any items that did not receive bids during the online auction also will be available for bidding during the second auction. All of the items for both auctions will be available for preview at the online silent auction website, so go to the website often and watch as new items are added daily.
